PHOENIX -- Arizona Hispanics are being urged to unite to address common concerns.
Among those concerns are anti-immigrant attitudes gaining strength in Arizona and across the country.
The newly formed Arizona Latino Research Enterprise is an organization that will study issues affecting Arizona Hispanics. It also will propose and pursue solutions for the problems they face.
Mario Diaz is a political consultant and a founding member of the organization. He says recent voter approval of an anti-immigration initiative in Arizona and proposals in the legislature considered anti-Latino by some show a need for the state's Hispanics to ban together.
Power, he says, comes in numbers.
